A & M Hawk UK provides bird and pest control solutions to the government, industrial, commercial and residential sectors.

We offer specialist hawk flying services, bird scaring systems, bird-proofing of buildings or areas, cleaning of bird guano and pest control services, all provided in-house by our fully trained staff.

A & M Hawk UK is a member of the BPCA (British Pest Control Association) and of the NPTA (National Pest Technicians Association) and also maintains ISO9001 Certification for our Quality Management Systems. This means that you can be assured of receiving the highest possible customer service with bird and pest control programmes that work.

History of the Company
A & M Hawk UK was established in 1996 as a family run business by husband and wife team, Angela and Mark Bigwood. Although, for many, falconry is merely a pastime, for Angela and Mark, their interest has led to a full-time business venture. The couple founded A & M Hawk UK, after noticing a niche in the market for specialist bird control using trained birds of prey.

By concentrating on providing an outstanding service and value for money, the company has expanded, taking on extra staff, and building up an impressive list of clients.

By 2006, A & M Hawk UK was offering specialist hawk flying services, bird scaring systems, bird-proofing of buildings, guano cleaning services and general pest control all provided in-house by our fully trained staff.

The company has been featured on television; on Radio; in magazines; in newspapers; and in numerous of our clients’ company newsletters.

Today, the company has an enthusiastic team of falconers, and a ‘flock’ of specially trained working birds of prey, and dedicated pest controllers servicing the needs of regular and new clients.

The company continues to expand, but maintains its strong ethos of service and value for money for our clients.


Our Directors
The company directors, Angela and Mark Bigwood, are nature lovers, professional falconers and qualified pest controllers. Mark is also the company’s principle rope-access specialist. They were married in 1989, and have three children; dogs; cats; pet rabbits and, of course, birds of prey. Both Angela and Mark have appeared on television, on radio and in magazines and newspapers. The company secretary, Betty Bigwood, has many years of experience in working in credit control for a large multi-national company and she brings this expertise to bear for A & M Hawk UK – directing our credit control procedures and ensuring that the company maintains a healthy cash-flow.


Our Technicians
All pest control field technicians have achieved the British Pest Control Association / RSPH Level II Certificate in Pest Control and are members of the BASIS(PROMPT) professional register of managers and pest control technicians.


Community and Social Responsibility
Both the directors and the company are active in the local community. Angela, as a former director of the Leatherhead & District Chamber of Commerce, works to promote Leatherhead at every possible opportunity. We have given bird of prey demonstrations to charities; schools ranging from kindergarten to senior level; as well as youth groups such as guides and scouts. We have provided falconry displays for St Georges Day on a local village green, and helped to bring together representatives from the local business community by providing a bird of prey encounter for a business networking group.
