Think Wildlife – The Campaign for Responsible Rodenticide Use (CRRU)

As a company of wildlife lovers, we are fully committed supporters of the Campaign for Responsible Rodenticide Use (CRRU), which has set out a code for responsible rodent control under the banner ‘Think Wildlife’.
Surveys carried out during the 1990’s showed that up to 40% of wild barn owls carried traces of rodenticides. Recognition of the level of exposure of barn owls to anticoagulants resulted in the search for residues in other wildlife species. It has been shown that populations of several other species, including red kites, kestrels, polecats, stoats and weasels, also contain residues of anticoagulants.
A & M Hawk UK carries out rodent management programmes in accordance with the code set out in the Think Wildlife campaign. These essential guidelines promote best practice in rodent control and will help rural users to get the best results from their rodent control programmes, whilst reducing to a minimum any potential harmful effects on wildlife.
