Rats

There has been a dramatic increase in rat infestations in the past few years. Rats need to be controlled because they are associated with several diseases that can be transmitted to humans, as well as causing damage to property with their constant gnawing, sometimes even posing a fire hazzard when they chew electric cables. It is important that rat control is carried out in a professional manner, by professionals who understand rats and rat control.

Sometimes the only indication is a scratching or scraping noise from the walls or ceilings, if left untreated damage can be quite significant.

A & M Hawk UK has a Wildlife Aware Accredited Technician to ensure that rodents are controlled effectively whilst minimising adverse effects to our wildlife and the environment.

Mice

Both the house and field mouse seek the warmth and shelter of buildings as a nesting place or a place to find food. Their presence is usually noted either by their droppings or by damage to food items, food packaging and woodwork. They have a constant need to gnaw and will chew through electrical cables, woodwork, water and even gas pipes. Many building fires and floods have been attributed to mice.
